Pergola and Deck Demo Wrapped - Framing Is Underway

Demo is done. That's always a big milestone - it means the old stuff is gone and we're actually building something new. This phase of the job is where the vision starts to feel real, and honestly, it's one of our favorite parts of any build.

Here's what we're working with - a full tear-down of an existing deck and covered structure, followed by a fresh start from the ground up. The old deck had run its course. The structure wasn't giving the homeowner what they needed, and rather than patch things together, we cleared it out completely and started planning something worth keeping for the long haul.

The framing stage is where the bones go in. Posts get set, beams go up, and you start to see the actual footprint of what the finished space will look like. It's not glamorous work, but it's the most important part of the whole build. Get the framing wrong and everything that comes after it pays the price. Get it right, and the rest of the job just falls into place.

We're building out a new pergola alongside a brand-new deck - two structures that work together to create a real outdoor living space. Not just a place to step outside, but somewhere you'd actually want to spend time. That's the goal on every custom deck and pergola build we take on.
